QC-CALC SPC

COMPLETE SPC PACKAGE THAT ANALYZES DATA COLLECTED BY QC-CALC REAL-TIME USES QC-CALC SPC’S CHARTS AND REPORTS TO CONSTANTLY MONITOR PROCESS AND KEEP IT IN CONTROL

QC-CALC SPC may be used at the operator station or at the engineers or managers office. It provides additional analysis and filtering capability to look at the collected data and a means for quickly monitoring multiple processes.

QC-CALC SPC offers a wide variety of charts and functions to aid your analysis and give you the power to make on-the-spot decisions. In seconds, QC-CALC SPC gives you a precise picture of how your production line is performing with easy-to-use menus. Group data from multiple sources, filter it, monitor the shop floor, and run charts with a couple clicks.

HOW IT WORKS
QC-CALC Real-Time reads CMM and gage data and saves it to the network database making the results available to QC-CALC SPC. QC-CALC SPC opens the same database from your office or other remote location allowing you to monitor what is happening in the data collection area. As data is collected, your SPC plots are continuously updated to show you live results from the shop floor. QC-CALC SPC can then filter the data and run charts and reports giving you the complete picture of your production process.

HOW QC-CALC ADDS VALUE

Easy-To-Use Shop Floor/Company Reporting Solution
QC-CALC Real-Time was written with shop floor automation in mind. QC-CALC automatically identifies the data as the inspection occurs, collects it, creates a new database if necessary, and plots it. There is nothing to synchronize and no setup time or requirements to create new databases. This makes training on the new software very easy and allows shop floor personnel of all skill levels to easily begin using QC-CALC.

Uniform Data Collection across Disparate Sources/Upgrade Desire
QC-CALC can interface with any automatic inspection CMM or vision system with little or no configuration. This allows Musashi Auto Parts to purchase additional equipment and/or negotiate with multiple equipment vendors knowing that no additional work is required to load the data into QC-CALC.

Rather than writing “job specific” data collection drivers that fail when features are added or specs change, QC-CALC understands the underlying format of the inspection equipment and automatically adjusts. Prolink maintains strong relationships with all the equipment manufacturers. Investing this extra time to learn the machine details allows us to stay compatible as formats change and provide updated drivers to the customer when necessary. This means that Waukesha Engine can create as many inspection routines as desired and QC-CALC will collect data from all of them without extra formatting work or the need to create new collection drivers.

Compatibility with Existing Software Systems
Prolink is proud to sell the only SPC data acquisition software in the industry that exports in formats compatible with its competitors. We believe that our own SPC reporting package (QC-CALC SPC) is the best and easiest solution for SPC reporting, but understand that in many corporations there are already existing company standards (often more than one). As such, QC-CALC supports the ability to export to all of the major SPC providers directly and will continue to add new export formats.

This feature of QC-CALC is particularly powerful as it will allow the end users across all business units to use the same tools with which they are already comfortable. This will further ease the implementation.

Hand Gaging
For hand-held gaging, the proposal includes site license of QC-Gage, our gage interface and data collection package. This package allows the user to easily select a data collection routine for the part being measured with a single click on an icon and then start measuring. The operator is prompted for traceability factors, and then QC-Gage walks the user through each of the measurements including instructions or pictures detailing each measurement. As the measurements are taken, the data received from the gage is plotted locally. When finished, the data is sent to QC-CALC database for data storage, reporting, exporting, etc.

Local Reporting
QC-CALC boasts a wide array of real-time reports that will give the operator a real-time view of the data and trend analysis. These reports are generated on demand or scheduled to run automatically when an exception occurs. The focus is to provide the operator with instant feedback so corrections to the process can be made immediately.

Remote Monitoring
QC-CALC SPC has the ability to monitor the inspection results remotely and allow shop floor personnel to literally see the CMM inspection of their own manufactured parts in real-time. These tools can be very useful in improving the manufacturing process. In addition, the Enterprise Reporting Scheduling (ERS) package will allow you to create custom dashboards that can be displayed anywhere in the shop floor, on the corporate website, etc.
