Enterprise Data Loader (EDL) EDL accommodates factory wide QC-CALC implementations where data from all QC-CALC data collection stations needs to be consolidated for specific reporting needs. The Enterprise Data Loader creates a Microsoft SQL Server database of all collected data for secure storage and advanced analysis.
The Enterprise Data Loader (EDL) typically resides on a central server at each plant and is responsible for synchronizing data from QC-CALC with data in a SQL database. EDL is actually two applications; the EDL Client and EDL Load Service. The EDL Client is a normal Windows application that provides a fast and easy way of setting up the events for loading, exporting, or archiving data. The EDL Load Service runs as a Windows Service that runs even when the PC/Server is logged off. This allows you to deploy the application to a server with IT and schedule your events with the confidence that they will run.
HOW IT WORKS
In the Enterprise Data Loader you set up events that serve to synchronize your QCC databases with a central database. As of EDL 4.0, events can load, export, and archive from and to QCQ files and SQL Server databases.
- Runs as an Application or Windows Service
- Load Events: Synchronization, not an Export
- Export Events
- Archive Events
