Processing power and user functionality are provided by the different model controllers. Controller-based sensors must be used with a controller, and USB sensors may be run from a computer or from an LG1200 controller.

The LG1102 has all of the basic functionality needed for use with any of the LaserGauge® controller-based sensors. The large, color display makes it easy to analyze repetitive measurements in the algorithm mode and makes it easy to follow graphical and text instructions while running inspection plans in the routine mode. Surface profiles are plotted in real-time on the display as the sensor performs the scans. A virtual gauge is applied to the digitized profile and the resulting measured values are displayed in a table and saved to a file.

The compact, lightweight LG1200 controller can be used with all of the LaserGauge® controller-based sensors, including the HS305, HS306, HS410, HS602, and HS610 models, and it can also be used with the USB sensors including the HS720 model. The controller has a high resolution display, and has both a touch screen and a keypad with joystick for alternative methods of interface. Data can be sent and received over a USB null modem cable or through wired and wireless Ethernet connection to a PC.

The LG4101 wireless controller is the most lightweight and compact of the LaserGauge® controllers and is ideally suited for use at fixed or roving inspection stations. A PC running the LGWorks Run-Time software communicates with the LG4101 over a 2.4GHz or 900MHz wireless RF signal and computer graphics guide the operator or operators through each measurement. The LG4101 can be used with the controller-based HS305, HS306, HS602 and HS610 model sensors.

The compact, lightweight LG5000 controller can be used with all of the LaserGauge® controller-based sensors, including the HS305, HS306, HS410, HS602, and HS610 models, and it can also be used with the USB sensors including the HS722 model. The controller is the smallest and lightest controller in the LaserGauge® product line, weighing only 19oz. The LG5000 has a 3.5” high resolution color display, and has both a touch screen and a joystick for alternative methods of interface. Data can be sent and received over a USB null modem cable or through wired and wireless Ethernet connection to a PC.
