Finance and Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial management and reporting activities of the company, and is responsible for budget planning as well as supporting executive management team in offering insights and financial advices that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.
  • Lead the finance team and review their work, such as preparing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc. This include setting goals and objectives and designing a framework for these to be met for smooth daily operations.
  • Develop long term business plans, including budgeting and forecasting for the business.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax agents as well as customers and suppliers.
  • Look into strengthening current internal control and process improvement. Ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained, correspond with various other departments, discuss company plans and agree on future paths to be taken.
  • Be a leader and make thins happen! Continually develop your skills/knowledge to deliver highly informative and actionable finance and accounting information.
  • Reports to the Managing Director and Country Manager or as designated.

Pre-Requisites

  • Good recognised Degree or qualifications in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Mathematics or Management, or a related field.
  • Several years' experience in the Finance and Accounting field.
  • Knowledge of Sage ERP 300 (ACCPAC) Accounting Software and MS-SQL and strong understanding of local financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Good literacy, writing and communicating in the English language. An analytical mind and keen eye for detail. Good negotiation skills and commercial and business acumen.
  • A team player with strong inter-personal communication skills, integrity, and discipline.
  • Pro-active, meticulous and hands-on with ability to stick to time constraints.
